Synopsis:

Yan Chai Hospital Cheng Yu Tung Child Development Centre’s Sub-Centre was officially opened. The ceremony was officiated by District Social Welfare Officer (Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing) Ms. Annisa Ma and Chairman of Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation Mr. Peter Cheng, accompanied by Yan Chai Hospital Chairman Ms. Macy Wong and Chairman of Social Services Committee Mrs. Mary Suen.

Funded by the Foundation on its establishment, the Centre was initially opened in 2015 to support children aged up to six-year old who are diagnosed or suspected with special education need and their #families  . The Centre provides therapies, training and counselling services to the needed families and subsidized tuition fee to those with financial difficulties. The start-up fund coupled with the Centre’s self-financing business model enabled its opening of this new sub-centre to benefit more families and enabling the needed #children to receive timely service sooner while awaiting for the services at public hospitals.
